Welcome, Quinn Carlysle Dunlap!

Quinn Dunlap, born March 7th. So glad you could join us!

I'm in that wonderful new-parent euphoria. Time has stopped, the world glows around me, and my face hurts from smiling all day/night long (which is largely spent cuddling and cooing). Christi proved once again that birthing a child is by far the most impressive endurance event one will ever witness, and she's doing great! We couldn't be happier.

Woodside 50k runners, expect the 7-lb wonder to join Sophie and me to cheer you on at aid station #1. ;-)

  9. Congrats from me too! Did any ultra names make it to semifinal consideration -- i.e., was there ever a chance of having a Yiannis Twietmeyer Dunlap?

  10. Best feeling in the world, or in a life.
Race wins or finishes are no match to something that beautiful.
Enjoy each and every day of it.

    Congratulations.

  16. In response to Greg's comment above, my wife and I are expecting our second in May, and when discussing boy's names, I was pushing for Anton...she doesn't agree with my thinking though.

  20. Scott,
Congratulations to your family! He is Beautiful!

On a separate and sober note, did you hear the sad news from Arizona, about Sally Meyerhoff? I wondered if you might have known her enough to post something...when you get around to it?

  21. Quinn is a "she". I had always wanted to live in a house full of beautiful women, and now I am!

Yes, I heard about Sally. Just tragic. I got to know her at Xterra, and she was really fun and competitive. Check out her blog - last entry the day before. Crazy.
