How bad can a foot blister get? YIKES! (video)

Holy cow...if you haven't seen this video, be sure to prepare yourself before clicking PLAY. It is easily the craziest toe blister I have ever seen!

Thanks to Craig Thornley for the footage, captured at the 2007 Javelina Jundred. I will have nightmares tonight for sure. ;-)

  4. Nice. Thanks for sharing that little, uhhh, big gem!

After the North Face race this past Saturday, I was getting a chiropractic adjustment by the good students of Palmer College of Chiropractic, who set up a station there to work on runners. A woman came by to have a blood blister on one of her toes worked on, and it was nearly as big as the blister in the video. A few minutes later, they had her on a table, and virtually all the students were gathered around watching the clinical doc take care of it. It was the talk of the tent!

  7. This was about 8 hours after I finished. It got nice and big as I slept. It wasn't an issue during the race.

GZ, the commentary by Bob is definitely the best part of the video. And we had just met him at the race.

  8. I remember that little gem. As soon as it was posted online, it went all over the place.

I still chuckle every time I hear anyone remotely saying the words "That's what I'm talking about!"

  13. yea, I thought it was hilarious...except for the lack of gloves. What a lovely sensation to imagine, someone else's blister goop getting all over your fingers :S
